Met up with friends here for lunch and I'm glad my friend chose this place. The food and service were great We even got parking just around the corner on Brannan! It was on a Sunday, so it looks like Sunday is good for parking. Hubby and I arrived early so we ordered a pot of tea to share. The staff were just so chill. No rushing. When our friends came, we ordered the Appetizer platter (great value at $20), and I ordered the Rice Plate with Short Ribs with the Imperial Roll and salad. Food was great and came in a timely manner. My friend's bf ordered the pho with short rib and it looked really good. I may order that next time. The place is not very big, but it didn't feel cramped. They have two tables for 4 in the middle of the room that can easily be combined for a larger party. Would highly recommend this place if you're craving Vietnamese in SoMa.
Que Viet is a hidden gem. It small and cozy inside and I don't know if I would have seen it if it weren't for google maps. The spicy beef pho is so delicious and it always hits the spot on a cold or rainy day. The regular pho portion is huge and I can never finish it. However, I recently went for their lunch specials on weekdays and thought the portion sizes were perfect. On the weekdays, they have mini pho with spring rolls. The mini size was the perfect amount for me and it came with the rolls as well as Thai tea. I loved the spicy broth and didn't think it was too spicy but had a good kick to it. I thought the food was really great and would have definitely given it 5 stars. But the person sitting next to me found a large piece of plastic in their pho which made me do a thorough inspection through my soup, but luckily I didn't find anything.
Came here with my loved ones and we had an exceptional experience here! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options to suit every taste. The ambiance was lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience. We can't wait to come back!"
Great pho spot in the area - this is looking like my new go-to pho spot! We got the tofu skin rolls for an appetizer, which were a great shareable and a new Viet dish I haven't tried before. It was a nice, chewy texture on the outside, with a good crunch from fried tofu skin. The pho was also great! The meat was tender and flavorful off the bone, and a generous serving of meat and noodles were given. Also noticed they have a lunch special Monday-Friday that had some great deals so I'll be back for that!
Came here after a long night, and was rejuvenated afterwords to say the least. Food itself is great, and the ambiance is very cute. Would recommend
Came here for dinner with a friend on Saturday - there were several open tables! This is a solid spot for pho and other Vietnamese dishes. I got the Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) which was really flavorful and comforting - they add fried garlic and fresh onions on top which is a nice touch! The portion is really generous. The staff is very friendly and the service is great! Will definitely be back again soon!
This unassuming spot is located along Brannan Street in SOMA. There was no wait for a table of 3 on a Wednesday evening. Our order: Shrimp Mini Pancake (4): $12.00 +Fresh, hot, and crispy. It was my 1st time trying these, and they were delicious! +Side of herbs, lettuce wraps, and pickled veggies were fresh. -There were 4 pancakes, but only 3 lettuce wraps. Combo Pho w/tendon and tripe: $17.50 +Thin noodles were cooked perfectly. +Plate of bean sprouts & herbs were fresh. -Rib eye was a bit tough: Prefer typical cuts of beef. Sliced Pork Vermicelli: $17.50 +Full of fresh, crunchy vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, cabbage) +Imperial rolls were freshly fried and filled with a juicy filling. +Plenty of tender grilled pork +Rice vermicelli was springy. -Grilled pork was salty. Side notes: 1.) Hot water available upon request. 2.) Muni Metro T line is across the street. *Verdict: Solid spot for Vietnamese fare with a wide variety of dishes. I want to return to try the woven vermicelli!
Moving to mission bay I had trouble finding "go-to" spots but this has quickly become one of them. The ambiance is great with cute paintings on the walls, the service is pretty quick, the staff is friendly, and the dishes are excellent. I usually end up ordering the beef pho or the woven vermicelli. Would recommend if you're looking for a good pho places in the mission bay/soma area
SO delicious and average pricing for viet food. we got the grilled pork+chicken woven vermicelli which was sooooo good - it comes with the plate and rice papers so you diy your own wraps. we also got the beef short rib rice plate - delicious but scanty with the beef serving. i would maybe skip this one or try a different one / a pho next time
Ordered takeout once from this restaurant a while ago and finally decided to try dining in. We ordered a green papaya salad to share, and a pho (beef and chicken) each. The salad was very refreshing and quite spicy. The portion size for the pho was generous and soup was piping hot which felt like a warm hug especially on a chilly SF evening. There aren't many good Vietnamese restaurants in SF and I'm glad that I found one in the neighborhood.
